Mainland Street
Having trouble deciding where to go for dinner? A stroll down Mainland Street is sure to fix that, with its seemingly endless amount of restaurants, it’s sure to satisfy any cravings. Highlighted below are some of the tastiest and go-to spots enjoyed by locals and tourists alike.
Robba Da Matti

This cozy Italian trattoria makes you feel like you’ve taken a trip to Italy, without having to leave the city. They specialize in fresh, homemade pastas that have been passed down from generation to generation and also focus on classic dishes that are well loved by everyone. Their menu also features tapas and a curated selection of wines. Be sure to try their tagliatelle alla primavera, made with fresh basil and tomatoes and generously adorned with burrata cheese, a perfect dish for the summer.
Minami

Vancouver has a considerable amount of options when it comes to Japanese food, making it a staple cuisine here in the city. If you’re looking to try a fine dining experience, be sure to check out Minami. This restaurant has been thriving since 2008 and is the sister restaurant to Miku. They specialize in aburi sushi, torched and seared before your eyes, and lightly dressed in their signature sauces. Their dishes are well thought out, but the details of this restaurant go beyond the food. Minami features the artwork of Hideki Kimura, a visionary artist and sought after muralist, whom they flew out from Japan in order to dress the restaurant’s walls with his murals. Nakamura, the owner, strongly believes in the preservation of traditional Japanese facets, and has thus invested in a line of porcelain originating from the artisan town of Arita, Japan. Each piece has been hand-picked and designed to match Minami’s unique culinary approach to Japanese cuisine.
David Lam Park
Yaletown is known as one of Vancouver’s most pet-friendly neighbourhoods, so if you’re looking for somewhere to take your dog for a walk, bike around, or people watch, David Lam Park is a must. The park has playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts, spacious grassy areas, and skyline and water views. It’s the perfect place to go for a stroll or to set up for a midday picnic. David Lam Park is also home to several sculptures that are planted along the waterfront.
